Wireless Bar Code Inventory and Tracking in Bacon Software D7/D8 Versions

Bacon Software announces integration with Symbol Technologies P360/P370 wireless bar code scanners with our D7/D8 product lines.

Functions Available:

• Wireless Inventory: Physical Inventory can be performed easily by scanning bar code information on your materials.
• Wireless Job Tracking: Job Movements can be recorded in the scanner for simple moves from one gate to the next.

Options for real time and batch input to Bacon Software depending on your requirements.

Wireless Bar Code Inventory

Using the Material Manager and wireless bar code scanners, taking inventory is completed quickly and accurately.

When material is received using the Material Manager in JTS the system generates a bar code label that is attached to the material.  This label is scanned during inventory.

Step 1:
To do the inventory first select the Inventory function on the Scanner:

Step 2:   Next scan the Material Tracking Number from the bar code Receive Label: Step 3:   Next Scan the Lot Number Step 4:   Key in the counted quantity: Step 5:   The transaction is recorded and you are ready to scan the next item. Doing inventory is now as simple as scanning your material tracking numbers and entering the count.  JTS takes care of the inventory reconciliation and provides reports to aide you in analysis.   Wireless Job Tracking Wireless Job Tracking is done using the same scanners.  You need only scan the bar coded traveler and the destination gate.  Information is then updated in the main Job Trac System database.
